Ronda Brown’s Breathing Scrolls are large-scale paintings created through sacred dance—an embodied ceremonial practice she performs as a Sacred Dancer. Echoing Indigenous traditions of movement within the arbor, she dips her feet in paint and moves with intention across the canvas.
Each scroll becomes a living imprint of ceremony—woven with ancestral memory and spirit-led motion. Through bold color and rhythmic composition, the work invites viewers into a timeless narrative of movement, breath, and creation.
